Remember the Important things journal page.

Playing with some textures and layers.

Materials:

Molding paste, paint, acrylic ink, color wash sprays, stamps, paper, clipart, stencils, inka gold, oil pastels.

Somewhere between...

Realistic and Cartoon...that's what I'm working on.  Trying to get my girls to look this way. Not too life like, just enough emphasis on those eyes to make them stand out more than anything.  So far, she's my favorite, I'll call her Angel.  

Supplies used: watercolor paper, fluid acrylics, papers, stamps, doily, stazon ink

Here is one I did previously....

This one I did I used a soft clay tool to do some scribbling on it.  Remember that if you try to write something it will be in reverse :)

This print was an experiment, after I printed I then went back with some green color Glimmer Mist and it filled in the white areas.

This print below I used a light blue Pan Pastel to fill in the white.

Another cool one.....

This is one where I use lots of paint, the printing is not as clear.

This one was done after another one and picked up the leftover colors.

When it's darkest...men see stars

Ok, I have to say it, I just LOVE this photo above, it makes me happy. :)  I love how this whole journal page came out but there's something about the close up of the page.  Look at all the layers!

The only things I used on this page were acrylic paints, oil pastels and a little black pen along with some stencils and stamps and a bit of texture.

Watercolor journal

I was playing in my little watercolor journal today and created this quick little page.

Texturize

I love texture! I've been using it quite a bit in my journal pages.  I love to be able to "feel" the pages.  The best way is to use Molding Paste.  Here is a fun one I did using the Paste as well as adding some Resin Papers.

I started with a blank watercolor paper and added stencil's and molding paste as well as stamping in some random shapes with random objects.  Once the paste was dry I sprayed on Color Wash in various colors over the whole page.  I went back before dry and wiped off on some of the raised areas.  After this I added some other colors by rubbing on some Inka Gold in different colors.

 The papers added here are resin papers that I made with some book pages, stamping and glitter.
