Friends, Love and Faith Blog Hop

Today I'm very excited to be a part of this awesome Blog Hop with some wonderful crafty ladies!

Welcome to Paper Tree House Studio's
Friends, Love, and Faith Blog Hop.

Today, we're out in force on the internet -- showing our faith and giving the glory to God. United, we stand as Christian paper crafters and blogowners to make a presence on the internet for all to see. If you are hopping with us, you should have hopped over from Iris Babao Uy (I <3 her work! <3<3).

If you happened to just come across this post and you want to join in on the fun, make sure you jump over to the beginning (My Paper Tree House) so that you do not miss out.

We're celebrating the theme of faith and we're happy to share our projects with you based on the verse:

*"*...those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar
on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and
not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31)

First, we would like to take a moment to thank our generous co-sponsors:

ZutterPaper TrunkCreate 365, Memorable Seasons, Scrapbook News and Review, as well as Papperie. Together with Paper Tree House, these companies have donated some wonderful prizes for today's blog hop.

Prizes? Oh, yeah! There will be three lucky grand prize winners for today's event.

To enter, simply hop through the blogs and take note of all of the participating DT members of Paper Tree House Studio, and make sure to jot down the "blessed words" they will have in their post, and leave a comment on their posts. Once you gather all of the words, you will have another special Scripture to inspire you to create while leaving His legacy. Then send us an email at mypapertreehousedt@gmail.com listing each of the staff members who participated in today's hop and the completed Scripture. It's that easy. All entries must be received by Monday, February 28, 2011 at 12 noon, EST and seven winners will be randomly chosen to win.

What are the prizes?

One Cricut Gypsy from Paper Tree House Studio
One Bind-it-All from Zutter
One baggy of goodies from Create 365
One baggy of goodies from Papperie
One baggy of goodies from Paper Trunk
One year subscription to Scrapbook News and Review
One $15 gift card to Memorable Seasons so that you can purchase your favorite goodies!!

In addition, many of our participating bloggers will have amazing blog candy and RAKS available for one of their blessed visitors by simply leaving a comment and becoming a follower on their blog. That's a lot of chances to win, so let's get to the Hop!

Here's a card I made for a Friend.  A little encouragement of Faith!

Here's a little Spring RAK for one of my commenters :)

Using Cardboard

This weeks challenges are up over at Challenge Masters.  My "Go Green" challenge for this week is to use some cardboard on your layout or card.  Our sponsor this month is My Creative Classroom

Here's my example.  The photo is of my son looking at a catalog of heavy equipment that belongs to his dad.  He loved to look at all the machinery.

What do they have in common?

Butterflies!!!

How about a little itty bitty mini album?
Even better, how about a little itty bitty mini album made from scraps?
Here's a littl 3x3 album I made using the leftovers from a Scarlet Lime kit.
This was super quick and fun to make. Here's the cover and a few of the pages.

This is an altered canvas that I whipped up this weekend.
It uses Tim Holtz distressing ink, Glimmer Mist, Pearls, Stamping, Rub ons, Paint,
 crackle paint, Glimmer Chips, Paper.

I had so much fun getting messy and making this that I think I'm going to attempt another one this week.  After making this I realized it matched one of my daughters rooms so now that's where it resides.
Now I need to try to match the other daughters room (on purpose this time).

It's Sunday.....

That means that it is time for some new Challenges over at Challenge Masters! Our sponsor this month is My Creative Classroom. All challenges will go into winning this great prize!

This week I am bringing you the Technique Challenge.  My challenge to you is to use paint to do some stamping.  There is a twist......you may not use a STAMP!  I want you to find something around your house to stamp with.  For my example you can see that I used some bubblewrap and cardboard to add paint to my paper.  I hope you can come play with us this month.
I will be back next Sunday with a "Go Green" challenge for you.

I cut out the larger Sprockets using Tim Holtz Big Die and grungeboard.  I then embossed them with Sparkle N' Sprinkle embossing powders.  They have the greatest colors!!  I used one called "rusty nail" and "teddy bear brown" on these.  They worked perfect!

Materials Used:  Bo Bunny - "Cambridge" Pattern Papers, Ribbon, Cardstock Stickers, Letters; Tim Holtz- Sprocket gears, grungeboard, sizzix Big Die; American Crafts - Thickers; Basic Grey - Background Paper; Paint

Have a great week!
