Bye 2010!

Where has it gone? I can't believe the year is already over! It seems the older you get the fast the time flies and I don't like it one bit :( It seems like just yesterday I was changing diapers and now I have college students for kids (well, 2 of the 4).

Every year I take a picture of them all together.  Here's a layout of one of the shots.  This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is 2010, year in review.  I couldn't think of a way to include that but this is the way I sum up the year. I'm posting this early since my reveal is on Friday I wanted you to have a bit of time to send in your creations if you have one or would like to play along.  Just pop them in an email to Tiffany.

Crate paper: paper, chipboard, brads, American Craft Thickers, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glue Dots®

I used my favorite line,Crate Paper and I tried something new (to me anyway). Recently I love to use paint and mist  but I wanted to do a splatter effect without a heavy look.  So, I took the glimmer mist and opened it up and stuck in my paint brush and splattered away.  I really like how it turned out. Just what I was going for :)

Boy Oh Boy...

Girl Power

FYI...This was suppose to auto post on Friday! Sorry, blogger goofed.

Having 3 girls, we have lots of Girl Power around here in one form or another.

Here's my take.  One of my daughters doing her "Thing" (Barrel Racing).

I used misting and doodling on here to add to the crazyiness of all the papers. 

I'm just a sucker for using as many PP's as I can! As you can see I took the picture on a windy day, the little pom poms are blowing in the breeze!

I Really Need......

More hours in the day! It seems I've had a ton of stuff to do recently and can't seem to get it all done.  I guess I could get up with the crack of dawn to make a few extra hours but that doesn't work with me, by 7:00 I'd be whipped and then no good for anything!

I did manage last week to get to a local crop at our new local scrapbook store "A Scrapbook Store & More". It's a cute new store in the Treasure Coast of Florida.  While I was there I was able to complete a few DT assignments and got started on a cute banner kit I got at the Scrapbook Expo in West Palm Beach. Hopefully I'll get that done before the end of the year, you think? hmm...

Well, on to one of the cards I made during the crop.  This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany if to use Crepe Paper.  Here's my creation.

I'm going to add a little tag or banner coming out from the button part once I need to send this card. 

 That's how I will personalize it more.

Holiday Blog Hop Today!

Hello Everone!  Welcome to Scrap Tiffany's Holiday Blog Hop.  We're so glad you could come join us for some Holiday inspiration!

For today's hop I decided to make a Christmas Wreath.  I found many examples of this online and thought I would give it a try.  It was very simple to make.

Here's some directions for you.  First I started off with a 1 1/2" scallop punch.  You can adjust this based on the size of the wreath.  This was a small foam base only about 7". I also bought a thesaurus at the $1 store.  You may use a whole book depending on the size of the wreath.

After I punched out some I inked them with distressing ink (Tim Holtz- Red Barn and Shabby Shutters).  Only do a portion of these at a time.  You will need a ton of them but the inking is tedious and I know with me I get bored doing the same thing over and over so I took breaks and switched what I was doing.  You can also mist them if you like but I was going for more color and the ink seemed to work best for that.

Use a pencil to scrunch around the bottom and then hot glue each piece to the wreath base.

Here's my creation.  I really like how it turned out. One daughter said it was her absolute favorite, ever!  I even got a great comment from my husband who doesn't really pay much attention to my layouts.

Scrap Tiffany - Design Team Call!

Design Team Call!!

We are looking for a few good scrappers to be part of the next, ScrapTiffany Design Team! The ScrapTiffany Blog has 2 monthly Challenges that DT members will participate in.

There are several positions up for grabs and I welcome applications from everyone, International scrappers too!

This will be a 6 month position, to start on January 1, and runs through July 31, 2011.

***All DT Submissions must be in by Midnight, (Pacific Standard Time) Tuesday November 30th, 2010. The Design Team will be notified via e-mail by December 5th.

If you've never been on a design team before, that's OK! Just take the plunge, dive right in and submit your application. I'm looking for Scrappers as well as Card Makers with a variety of interests, styles and personalities. It may be you!

1. Name, Address and Photo of yourself. I want to get to know each person as I am looking at your applications and galleries.

Banner Time!

This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is "Banners or Pennants".  I had never made an actual banner for the wall so I thought this would be a great time.  I found these really cute digi's from Pink Cat Studio that I couldn't resist.  So, I made them into a banner.  I colored them with colored pencil's and Gamsol.  I'm still learning when it comes to coloring and maybe some day I'll be ready for Copics! They scare me.

What did you think?  That I was going to show you how to make paper towels? Nope, just something fun to try.  How about making some flowers from them. This is on Scrap Tiffany today.

Scrap your Scenery

This weeks challenge at Scrap Tiffany is "Scenery". I took this photo of a sunset view from our house and thought it would be perfect to scrap.  It was really difficult to find something that would flow with the colors of this picture.

Scrap Tiffany Sketch Challenge

Wow, where has the week gone?  I can't believe it's Friday already! 

I almost forgot to post this weeks Scrap Tiffany challenge. It's a sketch challenge and as you will see I really scrambled it up a bit.  By the time I was done with it it had a totally different look ;)

Scrap Cosmo!

Well, today's challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is to use SCRAPS.  I happen to look in my scrap box and I was SO excited to find that I had a ton of Cosmo Cricket Material Girl Scraps!!!  Lucky me :)  I did find one last whole piece for the background and I had quite a few of the chipboard embellishments too.  I put them all together and here you have it!

Scraplifting anyone?

Scraplifting, yes!  So much fun!  (I'm posting this a day early since I have a Blog Hop tomorrw) This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is Scraplifting.  One of my favorite challenges.  There ae too many choices in this.  Who to pick? Oh my. 

I really love Crate Paper.  It's one of my all time favorite collections.  So, I found this great layout on their site by Lisa Truesdell.  I had the paper and everything so I gave it a shot.

This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is to use CARDSTOCK only.  This is a simple card I made.  I stampped on some colored cardstock with white ink then punched out the flowers, added a little bling to each with my I-rock and that's it!

This is a simple card I made using PPC color challenge this week. 

 I made the flower from an old sewing pattern.

Classic Vintage Beauty

Who can resist Vintage! I love it.  I don't scrap it too much but when I do I always say, why don't I do this more :)  This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is to do Vintage.  Here's a photo of my grandmother (again)  I just love using her photo's.
