A Mother's Heart

Today I want to share with you the gift I gave my mother for Mother's day.  I made a She Art for her.  This actually does look like her.  The colors I used are ones she is comfortable with.  She also wears quite a lot of black and jackets too!

Thanks for stopping in :)

Gone with the Wind

Last weekend my daughter and I spent the day working on some mixed media girls.  She wanted to make one to match her room.  One of her favorite things is the movie "Gone with the Wind". She decided to make Scarlet with a quote from the movie.  She found a drawing online to use as a guide.  It was a really good match even down to the size so we where able to cut it up to use as a pattern for the dress.   Here's the final outcome.....Can you tell her room is Pink/Grey?

Wanna Win?

Since I have been THOROUGHLY enjoying Christy Christy Tomlinsons She Art class I want to pass on to you an opportunity to win this same class.  Go check out her post here: She Art Workshop to see how to win.

Now, since we're on the topic of the workshop, I want to share with you my She Art girl number three!

It's so fun to look at these.  As I'm putting this post together, I noticed something on here that I didn't when I was making it.  It's the clock stamp! So fun, I must have looked at this a bazillion time and it never stood out to me until now!

I love her little flower hairband :)

Thanks for looking :)

She Art Goodness.....

Oh my goodness, am I having fun!  You should see my dining room table!!!  I have overtaken the eating area ;)  I am so loving this She Art Workshop.  If you were not able to sign up this time you may want to check it out. She's going to offer this again very soon.

On to my new girl.  A totally different color scheme this time and more of a paper background.

Funny little tidbit.......
My son wanted to know why I was making a mess
on my pictures and all over the table :)
That should tell you that this is TOTALLY a new experience for me <3

She Loves She Art!

Hello everyone!  It's been a little time since I've been here.  I have been working on several projects over the past few weeks for some assignments so I haven't been able to post frequently.  I wanted to share with your something fun I have been doing.  I am currently taking Christy Tomlinsons's She Art Workshop.  It has been so much fun!  This week I have been learning to get messy and create! Notice I said "learning"?  This is my problem.  I like to be neat.  Christy really has it all together when she makes these canvases.  She gets messy and works so quick.  Me, I take a long time because I'm constantly stopping to put something back or clean up.  At least I'm enjoying myself. That's the important thing, right?

Here's my first girl I made.  I went safe on this one with colors that I'm comfortable with.
Next one I hope to add some brighter colors and go out of the  boring color box I'm in!
Hope you like her as much as I do!

Thanks for popping in, hopefully you will see another one before the weekend is over!
