Worth it...

Sharing a few stages in one of my quick 8x10 canvases.  I was hoping to get more pictures but at least there are a few.  I started off with stamping on some tissue paper and then attaching it to the canvas with Gel Medium.

Next step was adding paint.

Then some spray inks with stencils.

My original intention was to paint a girl on here but the one I was working on didn't come out to my liking so I decided to add a quote. Because I don't like my handwriting, one thing I have been doing recently on my work is using  old fashioned carbon paper. I print out the quote in a font I like then attach the carbon to the back of the paper then I attach it to the canvas so I can trace it onto it.  After this I can go back over the light tracing with Pen.

Here's the final product.....

Be Happy

Sharing a mixed media canvas with you today called 'be happy'.  This was created using some products from Gauche Alchemy.  I picked some papers, fabric, flowers, butterflies and other fun things from their lady-marmalade-color-kit

This is an 8x10 canvas with the base colored with paints, sprays, molding paste and papers.  All other additions came from their kit.

Happy Mail

Have you heard of Gauche Alchemy?  It's a really cool online store for Mixed Media Artists.  I have purchased from them several times in the past.  I just wanted to show you the generous Happy Mail I received from them from one of their Facebook giveaways! They Rock! Go check them out if you haven't heard of them.

I have no excuse for lack of supplies now!
I have enough Punchinella to wall paper a wall with! Hmmm.....

See that little orange kit up there on the bottom right?
Come back to see what I created with a few pieces from that!

New Years Resolution Delayed

So, I'm a bad, bad blogger, very bad.  I haven't been here for months.  Well, guess what my new year resolution was?  To blog more, ha!  I thought I was going to do this once a week but that hasn't happened, it's Jan. 16!!!  So, I failed :(  Well, I'm going to try to redeem myself.  Let's see if I can get something out weekly from now on.

I have been creating art, that's the good thing, I haven't abandoned that.  If you haven't noticed, I changed up my blog name  to Jacqueline Designs since I have moved a  little away from the Scrappbooking and more into "art".  Please make sure you follow me so you can keep in touch.

What's been going on?  Well, I've starting attending the local Ft. Pierce Farmers Market with two of my friend Cheryl and Susan.  We've put up our tent and are selling out artwork each weekend. We call it CJS Studios.  It's quite an eclectic group of artwork.  Here's a few pictures from one of the first weeks of selling.  It's fun to see that some of those pieces are no longer there and have been sold. Yeah! If you are in the area, drop by and see us Saturday mornings from 8-1 :)

Thanks for reading and I will be back soon, yes, really.  I'd love to hear what you all are working on and where you are connecting via online with the boards, etc.  Drop me a comment here.

Don't have a name yet....

Anyone want to help me give her a name?
She needs a little something more to her and a name would help.
Any ideas?  She's so different with that dark hair, I'm thinking something exotic like....

Somewhere between...

Realistic and Cartoon...that's what I'm working on.  Trying to get my girls to look this way. Not too life like, just enough emphasis on those eyes to make them stand out more than anything.  So far, she's my favorite, I'll call her Angel.

Supplies used: watercolor paper, fluid acrylics, papers, stamps, doily, stazon ink

Thanks for stopping in today :)

Gelli Arts Playing

I want to share with you a new purchase I made recently.
I purchased a Gel Printing plate from
I've been having so much fun playing with it. I wanted to share it with you....
maybe you would like one too?

Here's really quick video I made using the plate.

Here are the prints I made during the video:  My favorites so far:

Here is one I did previously....

This one I did I used a soft clay tool to do some scribbling on it.  Remember that if you try to write something it will be in reverse :)

This print was an experiment, after I printed I then went back with some green color Glimmer Mist and it filled in the white areas.

This print below I used a light blue Pan Pastel to fill in the white.

Another cool one.....

This is one where I use lots of paint, the printing is not as clear.

This one was done after another one and picked up the leftover colors.

I hope I introduced you to something new today!  Have a great one!
