Boy page today :)

I hope eveyone had a wonderful Easter holiday weekend. We were lucky to be able to take a little short trip to Georgia for a few days.  I'm happy to be home again but not looking forward to all the laundry :(

I'm here to share just a couple of layouts I did a few weeks ago.  The first one is a really cute picture of my hubby and son.  I caught this moment and I really love it because it wasn't staged and my husband didn't realize what our son was doing.

All the elements here are from Bo Bunny's Cambridge collection.  I traced a shaped paper to add to the background (brown sheet).  On the photo edges I added paint  to make them stand out a bit.  Lots of punches were used as well as some inks and twine.

This layout is a collection of different MFG's.  The papers are from Glitz and the flowers are Prima.  I added some pearlz to make the dots around the shaped paper and used punches as well.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

One Sheet Wonder!

Hi Everyone!  Today I want to share with you a project I did using up some scraps.  All I used is ONE sheet of cardstock, some journaling tags and a few embellishments.

This is a little 3x3 album using one sheet of cardstock. I have made lots of these over the years making different types of covers and ways to hold them shut, etc.  I was surfing around and found a video of Tim Holtz making the same album (Which he calls the Z fold album) but using the tissue tape to cover the edges and the binding and making pockets in the album.

I looked for the video but wasn't able to find the one he did.  There are a ton of videos out there showing how to make this mini. Instead of using the tissue tape I used some tape from Pink Paislee. The papers and journaling tags are from PP too.

Thanks for looking today :)

The 6 month layout!!!

Do you ever have a layout in your head that it takes you AGES to get onto page?  Well, this is one I have had in mind for 6 months or more.  I've had the photo sitting out and had the title and some of the design but I just never seemed to want to "get it together".

"Stud Making Spuds"

One thing that was keeping me from doing it was in my mind I was going to sew the banner together.  That means taking out the sewing machine and putting it away.  Ugh, I hate that.  If I can't scrap it on my scrap table then I don't get motivated to do it. I finally figured out a different way to do the banner.

I used Tim Holtz tissue tape!  It's also under the title "stud" and under the flower.
I used some paint on the lettering and paint to stamp with cardboard.

I have a technique challenge going on over at Scrapbook Challenges this month.  The challenge is for you to use one of the two techniques I used here in this layout.  Submit one that has a banner created by you or use paint to stamp with.  Easy Peasy :)

1st Paper Issues Blog Hop

Welcome to Paper Issues 1st ever BLOG HOP!!!!
The challenge will run from March 19th to April 2nd

We are having a 3 part blog hop.  The design team is broken into three groups so you can follow along with all of us or just part.  There will be one random winner of a fabulous Paper Issues kit as well as other prizes. To win the main kit from PI you will need to head over to Paper Issues Blog.  Many of the design team member are offering up their own RAK's so make sure you check them all out! There are really some YUMMY GOODIES on these blogs, don't miss out!!! You should have arrived here from Sara.  If you didn't and want to hop along, you can start here with Michelle

Our theme for the HOP is "Favorite Things".  My favorite thing in the scrapbooking world right now is the Manufacturer CRATE PAPER and my absolute favorite thing to create (when I have the time) are MINI BOOKS.  So, I combined my two FAVORITES for you into one creation.

This is a mini I made using Maya Road kraft envelopes.  I cut each one to make a little pocket to have slide out cards for journaling or photos.

You can see the pull out here.

This pull out comes from the side by pulling on the stories tab.

The SALE tag is another pull out.

Final pull out in the back.

All materials used here are from Crate Paper except the lettering (October Afternoon), the Ribbon and the envelopes from Maya Road

Ok, here's the goods up for grabs!  Want to win some Sassafrass Lass Goodies?  These are one of my favorite paper lines so I thought I would gather some up to offer to one of YOU.  Now, I do have a requirement to be entered to win these goodies from me, I want you in your comment to tell me YOUR favorite paper line. Goodness, you may even decide to become a follower (that's ok too).  I hope you come back from time to time to visit.

Good Luck!

Now you will be off to :
