Card Crazy....

So, I'm not much of a card maker.  I always look at everyone's lovely copic cards and just oooh and ahhh over them.  I've done a few but have never really gotten into them.  Maybe one day...

Until then, this is how my cards go...

Just sharing.....

Some Yummy Crate Paper, Portrait line :) <3 Can't get enough CP!!

Lots of Layering!

This is a layout I did for a Design Team Challenge we did just for the design team.  We were given certain items to add to out layout and we were given a sketch.  Needless to say I swayed way away from the original sketch.  I ended up with something totally different.

I like this background paper, I think it's Pink Paislee? It has embossing on it and then I misted and wiped off the excess to see it.

Thanks for stopping in :)

Family Banner

Last week I recieved a full box of Crate Paper goodness so I have been creating.  I was in the mood to make a banner of some sort.  I had some Maya Road bottle caps and put my thinking cap on and came up with this:

Yes, our family started in 1988!

I used the "Portrait" collection from Crate Paper, some ribbon and LOTS AND LOTS OF POP DOTS!!
Hope it inspired you a bit today :)

Bye 2010!

Where has it gone? I can't believe the year is already over! It seems the older you get the fast the time flies and I don't like it one bit :( It seems like just yesterday I was changing diapers and now I have college students for kids (well, 2 of the 4).

Every year I take a picture of them all together.  Here's a layout of one of the shots.  This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is 2010, year in review.  I couldn't think of a way to include that but this is the way I sum up the year. I'm posting this early since my reveal is on Friday I wanted you to have a bit of time to send in your creations if you have one or would like to play along.  Just pop them in an email to Tiffany.

Crate paper: paper, chipboard, brads, American Craft Thickers, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist, Glue Dots®

I used my favorite line,Crate Paper and I tried something new (to me anyway). Recently I love to use paint and mist  but I wanted to do a splatter effect without a heavy look.  So, I took the glimmer mist and opened it up and stuck in my paint brush and splattered away.  I really like how it turned outJust what I was going for :)

Crate Paper Crazy!

Wow, I've been in a holiday creating mood!  I went a little Crate Paper crazy this weekend!  Here's a few project to share with you.  The first is a recycled Prima Flower box (gotta love those)!  It is now a cookie/candy box to share when I get around to baking.  I lined the box with some pattern paper as well as covered the outside sides.  I added some chipboard pieces, ribbon and glitter.  That's it!

Next is a Christmas Tree! I bought a foam floral cone for this.  I put a layer of guesso on it before I started because that green foam tends to rub off all over.  I used Glue Dots® to adhere the strips of paper onto the cone.  The strips were cut 1/2" X 3" then the ends were curled and placed on in layers working from the bottom up.  I added a scallop circle to the top and the chipboard piece.  I sprayed it with adhesive spray then shook on some Mica Flakes from Martha Stewart.  It really looks so much cuter in person :) P.S. Ignore our dead grass!  Not enough rain here :( You'd never guess it's Florida!

Here is a close up of the tree. You can see the mica flakes.

Scraplifting anyone?

Scraplifting, yes!  So much fun!  (I'm posting this a day early since I have a Blog Hop tomorrw) This weeks challenge over at Scrap Tiffany is Scraplifting.  One of my favorite challenges.  There ae too many choices in this.  Who to pick? Oh my.

I really love Crate Paper.  It's one of my all time favorite collections.  So, I found this great layout on their site by Lisa Truesdell.  I had the paper and everything so I gave it a shot.

Here's Lisa's layout:

Here's mine:

I loved the stitching and the added paint dots.  It was so fun to make.
